A rabid fox has been discovered in the Elberta area, prompting the Baldwin County Health Department to warn residents this evening to get pets vaccinated and avoid wild animals.
The City of Gulf Shores along with Fort Morgan and
Orange Beach form the Alabama Gulf Coast region. Gulf Shores is
located at the southwestern part of the state and borders the Gulf
of Mexico. The primary business in the area is tourism. Near perfect
weather
combined with miles of white sand beaches and other area attractions
make Gulf Shores the ideal vacation spot.
According to the latest census
Gulf Shores is home to more than 5,900 people. Although this is
a small community, the full-time residents, as well as the many
snowbirds that join the population each winter, find it to be a
wonderful environment to live in.
This region of the Gulf Coast offers a large array
of hotels to choose from as well as many fascinating historical
and modern sites to see. There are also several festivals and events
held throughout the year.
